Ronny Chieng On The Many Rabbit Holes Of Watch Enthusiasm | House of Craft
I must say that when I see all the faces I know now why I didn't retire because how can anybody retire from a passion I don't know our economy and the gender inequality will catch up as a brand we better be prepared for that last time I saw you you were actually talking about watches that belong to your father yeah this is all your fault yeah you guys I said it in the video and in my intro thanks for bringing it up but this is all your fault I didn't care about Watchers until you guys put all these videos gaming the algorithm pretty much yeah thank you thank you hey everybody Welcome to the house of craft day three this is a good day this is a really good day uh so we as Adam just mentioned are starting off with with no one less than Mr Ronnie Chang how you doing thank you I'm happy to be available for you guys only it's a pleasure so you live here in New York City number eight on the list in New York to be clear number on number one for day three yeah so you know you were a guest on talking watches many years ago watches have been a big part of your life and the last time I saw you you were actually talking about watches that belong to your father yeah this is all your fault you guys I said it in the video and in my intro thanks for bringing it up but this is all your fault I didn't care about Watchers until you guys put all these videos gaming the algorithm pretty much yeah and then now I'm yeah uh so but you bring out my father's Watchers and since we last spoke you guys actually uh did me a huge favor because my father for some reason he were he worked in China for 10 years and for some reason he would buy these uh uh old omegas um and I wish I got a chance to ask him why yeah we never spoke about it but he would buy these old omegas and he would bring them back to Singapore and he put them in a drawer and he wasn't really a collector and so I have no idea why he would do that but he he would just buy these I guess broken omegas so when he passed away there was like 15 broken omegas in in a drawer somewhere and I guess it was his thing where in his head he was like one day I'll fix these up he never got to do it and then I brought them to you guys and guys help me fix them up so I now I got 15 of his watches just like that and what's cooler than that right you talk about Timeless collections yeah I don't think anything can be cooler cooler than that and that that so thank you to you guys for helping me fix it up of course and um I'm I'm you know I brought them here today and I was a little worried about bringing them and then I walked into your main room and I saw all these heavy hitter Watchers and I was like if someone if someone comes in here to Rob us I mean this this is the last thing he's going to go for there's some there there there's a watch made of a meteorite downstairs if anybody wants to that's true there's a few of those around here yeah if anybody wants to rob that first go go for it but um is this one of the watches yeah this is one of them and uh uh I I I I I brought uh all 15 I don't know if I should even I don't know if even if I should bring it out is this is this too is this too tacky toing not at all that's what we're here for yeah but that's what we're here for right yeah even hinki even gave me the the cool watch case like look how cool they made everyone anyway that's just so tasteful with everything so there's like a whole bunch of these um watches that I have no idea so they're like they're like the Omega sea Masters but they are the sea Masters that can't go into water right yeah remember those generation of sea Masters that could not get into you like if you put this in if you wash your hands of this it just breaks or yeah they they just melt yeah right so uh I'm guessing this is worth like 100 on on Facebook Marketplace but it doesn't matter right the underlying value doesn't matter cuz this is all the stuff my dad gave me and then now so now it's like I got 15 watches from my dad who passed away in 2018 right so that's really cool it's like that movie I can't remember which one 27 Dresses which is the one way keep 27 someone dies and they keep sending gifts beyond the grave anybody know anybody know that movie I I don't think it's 27 Dresses I I love you I love okay that's a great Al the Michael Keaton one where he dies and then he shave teaches his kid how to shave via VHS video anyway this is getting really depressing but but but oh yeah we're getting into dad dying so we should be talking about watches not dad's dying did you did you know your father had those before he passed away I did and I because hinki didn't exist back then I didn't care about it I I didn't care he and and you know what there I think there's an argument to be made about not giving a kids watches too young cuz I don't think I would have cared about it at 18 now I turned 30 and I was like oh this stuff is really cool I appreciating it more I start looking at them you know they're these weird Omega like automatic C Masters that still work and they go with everything yeah I can't think of Watchers more special than these ones you know and on the on the flip side or downside is that after you guys help me fix up fix up all these watches I feel like I don't really care about collecting anymore cuz I think I'm done I feel like I'm done how many that's kind of a healthy place to be if I may say I don't you know no shade towards anybody else out here but you know that's a good spot to be I know I think I'm done how many does one person need right like am I am I going to Morgan King it onto my ankles you know one watch on every limb like way yeah so I think so so you know putting your dad's watches aside and so like when people ask me what my favorite watch is it's the watch my grandfather gave me like that's that's a given but putting that aside CU that's a special spot what so are you wearing anything else besides your father's watches these days or uh yeah so so on the topic of collecting I feel like I got to that place where uh alltime great watch collector Mr John Mayor shout out Shout Out Mr Mayor for making the best video on the internet um where he's talking about remember he talks about Jay Leno collecting and J Leno collects cars and he'll drive up to work in in like a 1930s fire engine or a steam power car right and you get to a point where you don't care anymore it's not about it it's it you it's not about what other people see it's how you feel about what you're doing and so I feel like I got there with Watchers as well in terms of like I would uh for to to answer your question uh what what I would wear now like there's this Asian-American uh micro brand called Jack Mason and and they're out of Texas and I just kind of like what they stood for I like what they were building and so I I got one of their stuff as well and they insisted on uh giving it to me and I insisted on paying cuz I'm like we're here to support thing we're not here to get free stuff you know what I mean well at least I'm I'm I'm not stuff but uh and they and so they made me a special um so you asked me why I'm wearing these days I'm wearing like micro brand Asian amican you know it's got Seiko movement um but American Texas Heritage and it it's the Dr Pepper and what was cool about this was that they actually sold out of it uh they made 250 of them and they sold out and because I was asking around about it they made one extra one for me so on the back it says like 251 of 250 oh that's which is very cool yeah yeah yeah and it says Made for Ronnie Chen too which is cool you know which was nice touch and so stuff like that way you can wear it and you don't really you know I it's you don't have to try to impress someone with a expensive heavy hitter or something you kind of know why you're wearing yourself right that's kind of what a Timeless collection yeah I think this I'm not saying anything new by the way Mr Mayor already has said everything that needs to be said about watches so we're out of a job now so yeah yeah so yeah so so how long ago did you get the the Jack Mason uh that must have been last year or something which adds to my idea that like I this is too many you know what I mean like I got to how many how many does one person need like I think I'm done guys I think I'm done oh yeah he's done guys stop stop making videos and then I'll be done I think I think that was one more um yeah so that was the Seiko rowing Blazer friend of hinki they were nice enough to put me in the campaign campaign for it and so I always felt like this was the the Ry Chang SEO I'm trying to get that going but nobody will ever say that uh I think pink pink salmon d really cool they made a whole bunch of these and I don't know I I really like this and also it's the kind of watch where uh you wear it and you don't you're not worried about getting robbed as you're running around New York City doing is that is that a real concern of yours honestly uh probably not as much as it should be I'm pretty I'm I walk around with impunity I I think cuz I'm like a guy yeah in New York City but my wife is always like what do you cuz I I run around doing standup shows at night a lot of the time so she's you know women see New York City at night a lot different than us guys and so she's always you know hit on a swivel and Meanwhile we're like walking around like we're on our phone we're like you know looking you know listening to music or whatever you know so I I I have never had anything bad happen to me but but um anyway but the the the point is um this is the kind of watch where you don't have to care about it too much you you're not too worried yeah you can bang you can you can literally like bang this on the train and no one's going you know I don't know but um so I I ended the collection I was like it's too many it's too many now stop please somebody stop stop making watches Rolex stop making it um and I was doing a standup show in LA and uh my friend David Lee uh who is the guy who I guess he's the biggest Rolex dealer in America this Ferrari collector ferari collector DAV Lee he's like so what do you what do you want man what are you looking for I'm like I'm like no I'm fine I'm not looking for anything I'm fine don't it's no I'm I'm good no it's all right yeah and then he's like uh okay well if you ever I said I I'm on the list for Daytona I don't care if it's 20 years don't worry about it I I'll wait it out it's no problem and then obviously the next day he's like oh come over and get yeah so I have to go to his place in in uh the OC in um uh LA and then um he yeah he hook me out with the this one and this this I I swear to it's the last one this will be Panda white detona um and I just filmed the F1 uh TV pilot for this show F1 show and and so I got to wear this on on screen like I snuck it on screen that's cool the whole time so that's my that's my trick for increasing value is I just keep sneaking watches on screen like I wore this uh on the Doogie Hower reboot I wore this uh Hulk uh some Marina on screen all the time I'm always like I'm always like checking the patient's pulse on the thing just trying to yeah up up the value of these things which is a hack I told I told uh other Comics that too like if you wear it on stage you know and you get that stage shot of you talking to a mic there's all these rist Potters on Instagram yeah watches or uh watches of celebrities on Instagram etc etc and then you can call it game one it's like a game game one jerseys like this was one at this is one at MSG yeah you know what's amazing is like the first time I met like Ed sheir and or something like that like I asked him if he ever knows it he's like 100% like they follow this stuff they want and Tom Brady like they want their stuff to be spotted in the right way right right yeah I guess so yeah I guess it would if you're if you're performing in it yeah I guess it would increase to yeah and so obviously you know you mentioned John a few times like he's you know he's a a central figure in in the entertainment musical watch World kind of became the watch main character he kind of did yeah he really did uh thanks again John for everything there um anybody else in world that's really into it obviously Trevor is into it but yeah Trevor's into it uh Daniel Day Kim who you had before was into it Daniel woo was was into it um um who else is a big it's it's it's funny sometimes again this is this speaks to hinki uh um reach and influences sometimes I'll be the number of people who come up to me and be like oh I saw your H dinky thing you know it's and I didn't even know they all watch people sometimes there'll be random people on the street like I'm in Singapore yeah and people will be like oh yeah watch Saw the whole dinky thing in you know love love your watch collection um uh stuff like that so it's actually kind of scary how many people know what I have in fact this this video right now is actually kind of really concerning but any but anyway so I went to Singapore for the first time like two three weeks ago actually with with UBS oh yeah do you go back there very often yeah my mom lives there I go there every I try to go back twice a year if not more yeah the the the Singapore watch scene is wild oh is it okay yeah I I don't know what the I never bought anything there but what what do you mean how is it wild like just demand the demand and the you know the if you look around the room there's a lot of Rolex and Paddock you know kind of you know very highend special things but not like the crazy crazy unique stuff in Singapore we met at a UBS event a a lot of um you know people wearing mbns and la faes and you know well they were trying to impress you there maybe not be they were they were trying to impress you at the USS thing they were like hey let me just let me just uh break out all the Heavy Hitters at the Singapore because they don't get a lot of uh I I you you never go there you know it was my first time yeah they don't get a lot of international watch uh attention I think so when they come everyone has to bust out their you know the thing yeah the their limited edition media right whatever you know no I mean Singapore is uh it was really fascinating just to see and again this was a special event but I mean they're just walking around the street you I saw people wearing crazy stuff that you don't see and I guess it's really safe there as well in a way that oh yeah that's right Singapore very fluent very safe it's kind of like AAR wakanda yeah if you think about they are they are kind of like as wakanda and so they got yeah they' they've got the finances to to to have that stuff and also they um like you said it's very safe so they'll wear it yeah there no problem um um so we're going to do a few more and then we're going to open it up to questions so get get thinking about what you want to ask Mr Ronnie Chang but yeah talking about we're talking about Timeless collections so what I mean what what is your opinion on it you know Timeless so I I said so the the first thing that we did on Monday was an interview of me uh and I I and I yeah but I'm Different audience so I think like the thing for me that has changed is in in the beginning you know I had no money I couldn't you know I was just happy to be here so to speak which I still am but I wanted to own everything I wanted to experience everything so all the daytonas all the you know vintage new pic whatever and now like my my wife for my 40th birthday I was I said on Monday nobody has ever really given me a watch happen very in quently not even as part of corruption I wish that were true sadly that's not true not even for Prime placement in the hink I believe me I wish that were true well here you go offers are open send them over yeah it's never happened before so so for my 40th birthday my wife gave me a 36 mm Day date in Platinum with her a little inscription on the back from her and like that's that's the watch that will that means the most to me uh so that's kind of where I am like I still as I said I'm kind of I came back off the bench to to work at hinki recently like I'm kind of on the bench but when I see something like Simon Brett who will be here tomorrow actually who's an independent watch maker or I see a great vintage Daytona I'll come off the bench and and kind of activate so to speak but I'm really not in like an inquisitive like kind of mindset like I I'm I'm good with all the things that I've owned and all the things that I've seen so you're done too I guess both I don't want to say I'm done cuz I don't want people to freak out but uh look I'm pretty happy done yeah I think I'm I mean like I said the dad's watches thing I would love to know if uh how many of these were real like it doesn't even matter if it's a real Omega or not I just want to I just want to know some history about it you know I mean we can help with that obviously um you know I mean that's the thing like omegas back then were so I don't want to say I they were kind of inexpensive right I mean like these were a few hundred or or I'm certainly less when your father bought them yeah and I have no idea where he was buying I just know they were somewhere in China so it would be it would be like uh I guess you I back in those days people only had one watch and then they if some broke they just replace it and they wouldn't care if the do was fake they just replaced the do right so a lot of these I I I have no idea if they're frankensteined or not so I mean we we've seen these before obviously you know the majority of them were quite sure are not there might be one or two kind of like you know redone dials Etc but that that's pretty normal but the majority of them are are real no question about it oh great I wish you told me that when you gave them when you gave you just handed me these pouches I yeah um yeah I got the I don't know if I talked about this last time I was on the show but this is the left uh not the Destro um GMT just a left wind even though they don't call it Destro even though it's a Destro I think it's the first leftand one since Charlie Chaplain right and um uh I'm I'm left-handed on this so it fit perfectly I was traveling I travel everywhere so this this was a functional practical purchase let's go with that it made a lot of sense told my wife yeah uh that she indulged me in um but yeah yeah I guess I don't know uh Timeless collection is um I think hopefully people get to the point where they they they aren't collecting to show other people anymore right you're just collecting for St stuff that makes you feel that like it's cool right and that's what I really like about hinky as much as it is like um unfortunately this is a very this is a privilege to be able to collect stuff like this but at the same time I I do think that like um you guys make it the the passion of It kind of comes through rather than the money a lot of the time you know and so I think that's what Timeless collection is it's more just the The Passion of it and and how these things make you feel and you know it's not so much flexing to other people and you know and you kind of you kind of hopefully get to a point where you kind of stop caring with yeah no I I appreciate you saying that that that's very much the idea and and for us you know it's it's about the community it's about doing stuff like this seeing people that that wouldn't get to know each other otherwise and uh it's it's a lot of fun yeah uh so with that let's kick it to the audience any questions for Mr Chang who would you like to see on talking watches see on talking watches yeah like who are you waiting for to show up on talking watches yeah he'll never do it but Trevor would be great Trevor would have been great but he he'll never he told me he'll never do it yeah we so something about security or something like that but the the collection is is strong Trevor would been cool yeah um but you guys have got a ton of great people already I'm not missing anyone I see people and they that you you guys make me seem way cooler than I am I have no idea what these you know I don't know what the the movement is called I don't know what you know I don't know any everyone here is like I appreciate you guys kind of giving us your attention right now but everyone in this room knows more about this than I do so you know you guys have great people on the talking Watchers thing you you appreciate that so in the same way that you sort of credit hinki as the person or the entity that got you into watches is there someone that you know that maybe we would know in mainstream Media or something that you would see being like he's he or she's not currently a watch person but I think I want to influence them into getting into watches oh like um Inception them into watches I I yeah I don't know I don't want to Inception anyone into watches I think it's yeah everyone on their own time I think maybe get maybe try getting simu on it simu Li would be yeah get simu Li on on talking watches you You' love to talk about it but uh I don't think I I don't want to take credit for inceptioning him but we definitely were talking about watches right when he started getting some so um maybe I maybe maybe some commission would be great but um no I can't think of anyone who I want to get to watch this is such a weird thing right to get you have to really wantd yeah you don't want to be like hey you should buy you should that that's why it becomes like it it crosses the line from taste for right it's like you should buy this you should buy this it's like no look how cool this is yeah right that's that's the move um what else uh yeah in the back there what watch does your wife wear oh yeah uh none she doesn't wear it doesn't want one I was like hey you want to should I get something for you she said no don't not interested not even an Apple Watch she thought she would get an Apple Watch but she didn't even get an Apple Watch she doesn't care about it yeah doesn't care about watches at all yeah I I'll show her like look at this and she'll be like I don't care about any she'll be like that's ugly she'll be like that like this this Grail what she that's ugly looks like that's what she'll say oh yeah I showed her the pawn I show I showed her the pawn like hey what you think like just no no context hey what do you think does this look cool she's like that looks like did that really happen that really happened yeah yeah uh we have some other questions yep in the back there just on the topic of building a collection do you want to speak to some of your biggest mistakes along the way oh yeah that's a great question um I think early on I was I was lucky I didn't yeah I didn't go I didn't go crazy on on like early on my my in my head the functional part of my brain was like I just want one functional watch I wasn't trying to build a collection so I spent I spent uh um weeks going down the speed master rabbit hole that was my very first uh nice watch and I was like I'm just going to get one so I better make sure it's the right one so just weeks of like and then I I I guess I picked the right SL wrong watch to go down a rabbit hole because that rabbit hole was so deep with speed master I lost like months of my life trying to figure out what was the right one no you know vintage and current models and then the first Omega in space and then there was the pro and then finally I got the one watch I was like okay that's it I'm done and so I never made the mistake of um I guess I didn't have the ability to just go crazy with like five terrible watches uh which speed master did you get first Omega in Space the leather strap one nice that was have you seen the new white lacquer dial one I did somebody's wearing it right there wear it over there it's good yeah yeah that one yeah it's all cool I mean speed mask I don't think you can go wrong with that two-parter um one question I know you said you're done with watches but do you have a Grail watch that's a first first question and the second question was um aside from watch is there anything else that you collect uh Grail watch no I don't think so I genuinely um I got yeah I feel like this is enough I think I got um yeah because I guess all my dad's watches are like Grill watches I mean I wouldn't sell any of this uh no I I know gril watches yeah I don't think so and then um anything else I collect uh no no I don't I don't really I try to be like minimalist and like more Buddhist with stuff and like let things go so I don't want to collect too many things so also I live in New York City you know like you can't collect stuff in New York City it's just dumb just the square footage just doesn't make any sense so no uh yes right here collect laughs that's why I collect collecting the laughs and then I put in my pocket yeah if you had to collaborate with a brand uh what for Ronnie Chang watch what would that brand be and what would it look like oh that's an interesting question uh I this isn't me being bitter I think none of these watch brands want to collaborate with Comics because uh it's we're too we're not what you know we're not what they're looking for in the like Roger fedra is like Precision classiness like you get people like I'm in bars telling dick jokes to people you know like Rolex doesn't want to collaborate with and this isn't me being bitter at all I'm just saying like I like that I totally get it like it it's not a good fit so it doesn't make any sense to uh for Comics to be the face of a watch you know even though they're big colle like Kevin Hart you know these guys are huge collectors right um uh who I collaborate with I I don't I don't know u i I think like um yeah I don't know I think the the the it the thing that seems to be the best fit would be Seiko but but uh I'm uh I'm it's not there's not me asking for one I I I understand we we are in different worlds it's fine it's fine not we don't need to work with everybody it's okay to not work with everyone um oh oh speaking of that I think it would be cool if you got Shannon Lee on talking watches talk about her dad's Bruce Lee's daughter talk about her dad's collection or something that could be a cool talk he have col I I have it on good that he did yeah no kid okay we we'll talk after this yeah yeah there you go all right up front here thank you when you were moving your watches I could see a lot of different straps colors Styles and they all seem really neat so what's your strategy do you change them what's no this is all this is all hinki I gave them like a bunch of broken watches and then they took it back and they put all these cool straps on it I didn't do anything no I haven't changed the straps at oh this one isn't even worn look this is this is still this is still pristine um package no this is all hinki I can't take credit for anything good in this collection all this was you see this one isn't even see I haven't taken this out of the thing yet hinki just had they just they just know how to make things look cool so I got no strategy with this I'm I'm so basic I got the the bond NATO strap and that's how that's how dumb I am I don't even know how to I'm like oh that's that's the cool one so I just got that yeah I'm I have no taste I'm I'm not I'm not classy enough to have taste um we had a question right there hey Ronnie I've got two questions um one hopefully more just cursory but what are your thoughts on sort of like Asian culture culminating with like watches being a part of um you know kind of bringing that Heritage out where it's always been more of a you know Swiss European Focus yeah I think that's really I think it's I think it's really cool that's what attracts me to SEO was that they were the guys who caused the quartz crisis and almost ended the game for everyone right because they were pursuing this Perfection so in that way they're kind of underrated cuz they had the at that time they um they were the most um accurate watch when they invented the quartz movement and it almost killed the game so hard and then now they have the Spring Drive which is actually the probably the best movement technically speaking you know but we everyone is a bit iffy about it because it's electricity and it's um SEO you know so it has that like oh like because we're all colonized in our minds that I come from I come from Malaysia and Singapore so I'm speaking for myself like we're all colonized our minds that like Rolex is the best versus like gr SEO which actually if you look at the workmanship and all that is actually objectively the best uh so I do take pride I guess in that of like oh look at these underrated guys who almost destroy them entire game by being the best at it and um yeah so I think it it's nice to going back to what I was saying before about collecting things not and not worrying about what other people think and you can get a SEO and be like Oh yeah this is this is cool for reasons which I believe in you know like yeah so I do think it's it's is really cool what they're doing grand cicle and I gu the second one's more personal but what sort of connects you with like once you pass a certain number of pieces you can only wear maybe like once three times a day maybe four times however but what sort of connects you and like builds that connection with the watch how does that there's some of that but honestly for me 90% of it is just practicality so if I'm flying cuz I fly a lot for work cuz I'm on tour or I fly to Singapore I fly a lot so a lot of the time I just want something I can wear that for 18 hours on a flight to Singapore that doesn't destroy the skin on my wrist so that will be like the NATO strap G GMT or something you know that can you know it's just practicality so it comes down to practicality a lot of the time like I I don't want to I don't want to shout out all the robbers I don't want to travel with with you know more than like two two Watchers so I'll be like I'll pick something that if I know on long trip I'll I I can wear that for like a week it's practicality you know um so for example these ones I wear a lot at at um when I'm in town but when I'm traveling it's less practical because I don't want to have to worry about it being um underwater or something so I make sure it's waterproof and I make sure it's it's GMT so it's tracking time that actually need to track in New York City and my home you know is yeah practicality and comfortable yeah so um that's the my connection to the Watchers now it's a lot of practicality and then then the fun comes in you you have all these and then you can you know every day you just wear a different one and then you see what happens like if you're wearing like shorts and slippers and then you wear like what's the rot today it turns out to be the Daytona and then you're you know you dress like but you're wearing a Daytona watch or or vice versa you would dress nice and you wear like a Mickey Mouse watch and yeah and it's all fine it doesn't matter you're just rotating it and yeah so the fun is in almost seeing what you know what what happened today with it right you just pick one at random and then yeah very privileged to say that but again this is these were gifts from my father this wasn't me being douchy so I think it's fair to talk about uh question in the back though here Ronnie is there a a dream project that you have in mind whether it be a feature film or a comedy set where you would be excited and proud to wear your dad's two-tone Rolex um or is that like too personal in showing it in a project like that no no I got no clums about that that's putting it almost too much on a pedestal to be like I I wear when first time I performed at Madison Square Garden I was opening for Dave Chappelle I wor my dad's watch just to be like just to be oh yeah hey Dad look cool I'm at mine Square Garden and the weird thing was like when I took out the watch and I hadn't worn it in months and the the time stop and when I put it on the time was right wow can you imagine that that's crazy universe is weird you the universe is weird you but I wore that at um uh M Square Garden yeah so if it's a cool gig I'll wear it I wear it on my on my comedy specials I wear my dad's watch on the comedy specials just to be whatever you know just little touches but I don't think any in fact if I it's actually distracting you probably should not wear it cuz shiny watches on your wrist when you're performing is just it's actually a no no you shouldn't do that is that so I think so right cuz when you're watching someone performing it's like there's like glare coming off his wrist like that's actually a bad thing I think so it's actually I probably shouldn't be wearing it but yes right here you talk about sneaking watches into movies and TV shows and stuff um have you ever run into conflict with a wardrobe department on it no I um I think I'm giving the game away here but I'll I'll wear the watch I'll ask them if it's okay to do you think the this guy will wear it usually thankfully everything I have is pretty tasteful and they're like yeah that guy will wear that and then you get on screen so Megan I'm wearing the GMT I'm wearing I'm the CEO I'm wearing like a a Root Beard GMT I'm like yeah that fits I guess and then um the the only conflict is because they need to have a um they need to prep a a replica uh not even a replica just like a replacement in case something breaks they need to have it ready so whatever you have you have to like show them and they have to go find something that they can replace with in case your watch for whatever reason breaks so that's the only potential kind of uh conflict yeah when you're filming with watches co uh we have time for two more this is great by the way thanks for questions too of course yeah hope I spoke I I hope I spoke to the theme of this I feel like we just ended up hanging out but that's kind of the idea here sir uh yeah Ronnie what was your reaction when you first heard from hinki to do the talking watches did you understand the depth of this industry um yeah I thought was cool because like I said I was watching a lot of the videos so when they when they asked me if I want to be part of it that was the that was one of the ones where I told my publ like yeah we're doing that for sure cuz usually they run it by you and they'll they'll um there's a lot of stuff I say no to because there's a lot of dumb podcasts out there that that's true you know every stupid has like a podcast so I'm like I say and then when this thing came in I was like oh yeah yeah that one that's the that's the podcast that one's the one to do so I I did feel I I I did feel um honored to be asone and until till day I still still still feel honored that you guys asked me to talk about this stuff that I know nothing about and everyone here is like way more knowledgeable than me and I'm like trying to tell them about movements you know like this was this is actually an OD Destro you know people like yeah we know man we like people here proba we designed that watch that your uh last question uh yeah right here hey thank you Ronnie um two part question really are you coming back in Crazy Rich agents too and what are you going to be wearing tomorrow night at the Beacon oh um I don't know about C to I don't know I don't know you know more about it than I do I don't honestly I don't know about the sequel um uh hopefully uh and then uh Beacon I don't know what what's in the rotation today I think um uh Beacon oh wait I probably shouldn't say because I get robbed right okay wearing nothing Beacon I'm wearing nothing no watches at the Beacon going going to go raw guys thank you so much Ronnie no thanks for having me thanks for making me look cool um thanks Ben thank you dude appreciate it thanks so thank you
