these are like 20,000 watches wow this guy casuals pretty hard ultimately it's up to your grandson he's the one that this watch is going to be for in the long term and then when they put you in charge of the whole operation you can upgrade to the New Black Bay 58 18 karat gold hello watch lovers and welcome to another video where I sort out all the watch problems in the world by scouring the internet in search of the watch buying Public's most burning questions and help them decide which watch they would rather so let's go choosing a graduation watch commemorating graduation with either a Zin 556i or Oris big Crown Servo valante so longtime admirer of the Zin but the beauty of the Oris Servo valante in blue has made the situation more complicated annoying when that happens isn't it so both these watches are quite different so let's just go through it on paper so you got the Oris big Crown 38 mm in a multi-piece stainless steel case with the automatic winding caliber 754 now it's a bit more exciting visually than the Zin has some more decorative Design Elements like the lovely blue gradient dial there the uh coin Edge bezel ring and uh Cathedral hands on the dial and of course the big crown and the pointer date which is an interesting feature and a more creative way to display the date the Zin 556i meanwhile has a sanitized stainless steel case the sw21 mechanical movement inside and it has a very sparse and monochromatic dial designed for Pilots so it's very understated and functional in its appearance uh maybe a little bit too functional for some tastes possibly bordering on uninteresting if that isn't too uh harsh but on the Flop side its Simplicity make it great for any occasion um especially good for casual everyday wear both great watches both great build quality but the German over engineering of the Zin make it a tough mother of a watch so if you're looking for a m Stone watch that's going to last forever then that is a serious Contender but then the Oris is prettier has a little bit more flare maybe so perhaps a more appropriate Choice as a reward for your accomplishments the is about £1,100 while the Oris is about £1,900 so you get a bit of a saving on the Zin but really if you can try them both on because you'll find that the excellent build quality of the Zin is much more apparent when you see it in real life also then on the contrary Oris watches are very very comfortable excellent proportions feel really good on the wrist um so both these watches very different in what they offer and it's a very very very tough choice okay hope that helps actually here's a thing that might sway you the deciding factor could be how bothered you are about the changing orientation of the date numbers around the edge of the dial on the Oris where the nine is flipped upside down at a glance it reads 6786 oi so yeah once you see that you can't unsee that okay so moving on now here's another one from Reddit help me upgrade my collection in time I would like to get a Rolex and an Omega but I'm in a conundrum about which watches to upgrade or keep in rotation so the most obvious and straightforward upgrade if you want to do a like for like would be bam Rolex Submariner boof Rolex Daytona bash Rolex GMT Batman bada bing bada boom done but seriously though that uh might not be viable in this short term as there is quite a little bit of a step up in cost from seikos to rolex's and they also mention the speed timer is the one that they wear the most and they're leaning towards upgrading the seyo 5 sports diver as they feel that's lacking and they don't wear it as often and then maybe getting a Rolex that's completely different to all three as like a special dressier type watch um yeah that sounds like a plan so yeah keep the speed timer as your everyday you wear it the most and it's cool and sporty perfect for every day then upgrade the black diver to something like a Tuda black Bay or maybe an Oris Aquis date feasible and then eventually your Milestone dressy Rolex you could go for something like a champagne dial Oyster Perpetual or perhaps a steel and gold explorer that would be freaking cool as all heck my friend uh yeah and then just keep the SEO GMT for the ls all right okay here's another one from watch crunch which would you choose in the long run of these two protects we've got the reference 522 6G calad Trava or the aquanut two lovely protects so the reference 5226 G in white gold uh with that pure round case and the hob nail pattern around the side and that lovely textured Smokey dial like uh asphalt or something luxurious like that then the 5167a aquanut with its rounded octagonal case the aquanut would be a better everyday watch I think you know it's got the increased water resistance and that waterproof rubber strap but the 5226 G I feel boasts more attention to detail it feels more like a protect F leip I think it feels a bit more traditional you know but at the same time uh I think due to its overall warmth and uh general beess what with the Cal skin leather strap it wouldn't look out of place in any setting so it's also casual as well so win win win yeah that' be my pick but since you ask which one would you choose in the long run ultimately it's up to your grandson really because he's the one that this watch is going to be for in the long term as is the sacred right of pek ownership as laid down by the pek Philip marketing team team in the year 1996 getting married and need a dressier watch that Will pair better with a black tuck it's between the L Master collection and the Tuda 1926 and I'd like to stay under $3,000 yeah both great picks for your big day uh let's go through them then so the Tuda 1926 36 mm steel case it's got a white dial with an embossed decoration and gold hour markers and hands inside is the self- winding mechanical movement the caliber t601 and it's waterproof to 100 m and that one costs £1,750 meanwhile the lene slightly more traditional aesthetic with printed Roman numerals and minute track shaped silver hands uh it has a similarly textured dial to the Tuda in Black this time and inside is the selfwinding mechanical caliber L8 99 and you get the moonphase display comes in in a 42 mm steel case and that one cost £2,500 now that's £750 more than the tuder so immediately that's something to think about straight out of the bat for starters but for me there are a couple more things that the Tuda has got going for it that might sway you more towards that so I prefer the white dial over the black of the lene I think that's possibly a bit more appropriate for a wedding I would say I like the smaller size of 36 mm will slide under your weding cuffs more easily than the 42 mm of the lene and I think it goes casual more easily than the lene too so perfect for the Disco afterwards and uh will look great in a white T-shirt by the pool on the honeymoon uh that said though the moon phase of the line is quite romantic um you know because moons when they hit you in the eye like a big piece of pie that's a moay eel uh so yeah the Tudor just Pips it for me um but to throw a preciously elegant spanner in the works have you considered a Cartier um if you do like that more classical style of the L jeans for slightly above your 3K budget you could get a Ronde must dearer watch uh it's 36 mm High autonomy quartz movement uh with those lovely Roman numerals and the signature blue spinel in the crown it's elegant as all heck um plus wearing a Cartier on your wedding day is really really cool you'll be just like James Bond um if he settled down and got married and stopped wearing aega more CER instead anywh who hope that helps help me choose Air versus C the type XX versus the 50 Fathoms they write hi guys I'm looking into getting a casual and fun watch as my next purchase I've narrowed it down to these two brega type XX civilian or blon Pan's new 42 mm 50 Fathoms hang on I'm looking into getting a casual and fun watch these are like 20,000 watches wow this guy casuals pretty hard uh good on you so yeah brega arguably one of the most important watch makers in history uh he was the one who came up with brega hands um if you didn't know and then you've got Blanc Pan the oldest watch company ever around with the 50 Fathoms actually being the first dive watch to Fe all those design codes that we associate with modern dive watches today uh the rotating bezel increased water resistance and highly legible dials so we've got the £2,000 brega that's a pilot Style watch with a flyback chronograph in steel uh it's got great movement this 728 caliber with the Silicon lever escapement 100 m of water resistance uh so that's good if you want casual funest bit of splashy splashy also um can go pretty casual on a cal skin leather strap or NATO fabric strap then there's the blonc pan 50 Fathoms at £17,000 comes in a beautifully brushed titanium case uh nice and light and it gets that Sumptuous domed Sapphire bezel and inside is 1315 automatic movement which is very pretty as well both amazing watches both amazing Brands very top tier watchmaking here and I admire this attitude to uh wearing watches from the uh top tier high-end horror logical Brands to wear and enjoy casually in your sweats you must teach me these ways and let me some money but anyway I think for me I would personally go for the blon pant I think that timeless style of the black divers watch is Iconic um you know it's it's sort of a ubiquitous style now so it's good for the kind of casual Arena and I think it is more readable it's not as busy as the chronograph dial of the brega in titanium it's going to be lightweight so that's good for every day you know it's a divers watch a tool watch so you can you know knock it about and it'll be fine and also you save three grand over the brega so pocket that get a cheeky nandos and 10 seikos good day out watch for promotion so would like a watch to mark an important milestone in my career looking to stay under 4 to 5K and looking at the Tuda black Bay 58 the nomos tangente the Oris big crown and the Mido multi Port patrimony so uh some strong choices there so let's go through them so the tangente neomatic 39 very high levels of finish and build quality from the German watchmakers nomos it gets a horizontally brushed rodium plated dial in a simple 39 mm slender case nice colorful red and blue hands very tidy that's £ 3,160 there's the RS big Crown pointer date in a 40 mm stainless steel case with the bronze bezel ring and A really lovely Rich blue dial that's £1,850 the Mido multifort patrimony is the most affordable watch of this bunch at £920 it's a vintage looking watch with a Sunray black dial and PVD gold coated 40 mm case and a cheeky little pulsometer scale on the dial there and then finally you get the Tuda black Bay 58 a solid divers watch in matte black with a cque certified movement and again that great case size of 39 mm that's just right there you know in the pocket uh that's £ 3,450 and for me the black Bay 58 is a great allrounder and you uh Express particular interest in the 925 all Silver version and for me that would be the way to go now while these watches are all fine choices I feel like the satin finished silver case of the 925 black Bay 58 really really elevates it above the other choices just the way the silver catches the light it almost glows um yeah it's bit special and I think you know silver that's a really good reward for promotion and then when they put you in charge of the whole operation you can upgrade to the New Black Bay 58 18 karat gold um further aspiration for you there um keep crushing those kpis um well done so there we go that's another batch of watch related would you rather dmas resolved uh I think um and if you're on the lookout for your next luxury watch then why not head over to watch finder.com the pre-owned watch specialist and you can find watches from
